“Wine is my passion! My parents have taught me well over the years; In the Old
Deanery days, where I was brought up, we had the finest cellar in the North and
I learned the art of choosing a good wine with great provenance. These days, in
addition to the classic great vineyards, there are so many smaller producers around
the world and the quality of wines in the lower price brackets has soured. I personally
hand pick my wines to create a list to suit all palates and purses whilst representing
the very best quality and value for money. Our list is extensive but please feel
free to browse- I am always very happy to answer any questions or to recommend particular wines to suit your chosen meal.”
Our Real Ales
“As important as wine is to any meal, no Yorkshire Inn would be complete without
beautifully kept real hand-pulled ales. This is a responsibility I take very seriously
and I go to great lengths to ensure that your pint of Timothy Taylor’s, Black
Sheep or Rudgate is served in optimum condition. I have also sourced an extremely
pleasing bottled Gluten-free ale so all can enjoy that welcome glass of beer”.
